Nordic Walking is basically an enhancement of ordinary walking, the specially designed poles help to reduce the pressure on the lower body whilst encouraging the use of the upper body muscles. This not only means more calories are burned but it loosens the neck and shoulders and tones the whole body!
Nordic Walking is simple to learn and can be adapted to all fitness levels but it is not simply ‘walking with poles’ and to get the most from this great workout it is advisable to learn the correct technique and to ensure you are working out at the right level to get the results you want.
Nordic Walking UK Instructors are all fully qualified to teach the technique and to encourage and advise you on how to get the most from the poles and your body!
Most offer workshops, one to one sessions and classes – all of which are in inspiring locations and time to suit all lifestyles.
